Every Place Has a Verse

Atlas

The story in time and place — drag through twenty-two centuries and watch the word move from Ur of the Chaldeans to a prison island off Asia

Scripture happened somewhere. Abraham left a real city; the exodus crossed real wilderness; Paul's letters chased real roads and shipping lanes. This atlas puts the whole account on one map with a single control: the year. Drag the slider (or press Play) and events surface where and when they happened. Click any dot for the event itself — what, when, where, why it matters — with links into the chapter studies. Below the time-map: the great journeys animated route by route, and a full gazetteer of the places, each with its verses.

Honesty in the small print: the cartography is stylized — drawn for reading, not for surveying — and site locations follow traditional identifications, with disputed ones marked as such (Sinai, Ur, Emmaus, and friends). Dates follow this study's stated chronology (early exodus, c. AD 30 crucifixion) and flag the debates where they genuinely exist. Where the text does not locate a thing, neither do we.

Every dot is an event with its Scripture. The map itself changes frame as the story widens — from the Fertile Crescent, to the land between the River and the Sea, to the whole Roman Mediterranean.
II · The Journeys

Roads, Wildernesses, Shipping Lanes

Thirteen journeys that carry the story — each drawn live on the map above when you press play, then left burning on the route while you read.
III · The Gazetteer

The Places, A to Z

Every mapped place with its story and its verses. Chapter pages across the study link here — and "Show on map" answers back.
